SharePoint Developer

Overview: Aether Aerospace is seeking a motivated and technically skilled SharePoint developer to support the Naval Air Warfare Centers in the management, development, and administration of enterprise collaboration and data management solutions. The selected candidate will provide SharePoint administration and development support, maintain custom applications, and assist with implementing business process automation solutions using Microsoft technologies.

This role requires an individual who can work independently, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting enterprise-level SharePoint environments within government or DoD organizations.

A Journeyman-level person within this labor category performs all functional duties independently.

Duties/Responsibilities: The selected candidate will support the Naval Air Warfare Centers with:

  • Managing and maintaining SharePoint site collections to ensure seamless collaboration, including:
    • Document management
    • Custom solutions
    • List management
    • End-user management
    • Applications, dashboards, workflows, forms, and technical documentation
  • Managing user permissions and access controls across SharePoint environments
  • Troubleshooting SharePoint and application-related issues and providing end-user guidance and support
  • Assisting with the design and development of custom SharePoint solutions that meet organizational business needs, including:
    • Requirements gathering
    • Project scheduling
    • Implementation
    • Testing and deployment
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing custom applications and SharePoint features
  • Supporting integration efforts involving Microsoft products and services
  • Coordinating and implementing database and information management best practices
  • Identifying, investigating, and resolving system performance, scalability, and capacity issues
  • Assisting with implementation of security measures to safeguard systems and databases
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and process documentation
  • Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and leadership to ensure mission success

Qualifications Required:

Education and Experience

A Journeyman level person within a labor category shall meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) plus one (1) year of experience performing work related to the functional description; OR
  • Associate's Degree plus two (2) years of experience performing work related to the functional description; OR
  • High School Diploma plus four (4) or more years of experience performing work related to the functional description.

In addition, candidates should possess:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in SharePoint development and administration
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level SharePoint projects
  • Experience integrating Microsoft products and services
  • Familiarity with Government and/or Department of Defense systems
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance

  • Knowledge of database administration concepts and enterprise information management

  • Prior experience supporting DoD acquisition, engineering, logistics, or program management organizations
