Job description

Job Summary:
SAIC is seeking a skilled and motivated SharePoint Farm Engineer/Administrator to join our MAJESTIC Joint Program Office (JPO) Team in support of an enterprise IT environment. The primary focus of this role is the design, development, implementation, and enhancement of SharePoint environments, workflows, and capabilities to address complex business and operational needs.
Responsibilities:
• This is not a site administrator… this is someone experienced in designing, implementing, operating, and updating the SharePoint applications and the SharePoint farm.
• Install, configure, and maintain SharePoint systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and adherence to security standards.
• Create, manage, and configure SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions to meet business needs.
• Design and develop custom SharePoint solutions, web parts, dashboards, and apps while also customizing existing solutions to enhance functionality and user experience.
• Plan, direct, and execute system upgrades, migrations, and design changes to ensure system viability, scalability, and compliance with organizational objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related system issues, including performance issues, user access challenges, and integration errors.
• Train and support business users in utilizing SharePoint tools effectively, creating user guides and providing ongoing assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, system administrators, and process owners to gather business requirements and develop tailored solutions.
• Integrate SharePoint with other systems and platforms, including Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive) and third-party applications.
• Develop and maintain automated workflows and processes using tools such as Power Automate, PowerApps, and SharePoint Designer.
• Ensure ongoing system security and compliance by implementing best practices in permission management, access controls, and governance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Candidates must satisfy Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CWF) ID 632 (Intermediate Systems Developer) requirements, as outlined by Navy COOL. This requirement can be met by possessing one or more of the following qualifying certifications: Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Microsoft 365 Certified Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified Power Platform App Maker Associate, Microsoft Certified Teams Application Developer Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, OR This requirement can be met through A Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 5-9 years of professional experience managing and supporting enterprise-level SharePoint environments.
• Expertise in SharePoint Online, On-Premises (2016/2019), and SharePoint architecture, including central administration and governance.
• Front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript) and experience with frameworks like React or Angular for building custom web parts and extensions.
• Proficiency with workflows and automation tools like Power Automate, PowerApps, SharePoint Designer, and Nintex Workflow.
• Integration experience with Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Power BI, OneDrive) and APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON).
• Strong SQL Server knowledge for back-end database management, configurations, and optimization.
• Skilled in SharePoint security, including permissions, access control, and compliance with data governance regulations.
• Hands-on experience with system administration, including upgrades, patching, backups, and performance monitoring.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell for automation and administrative tasks.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
