Job description

Role: System Software Analyst I
Location: Concord, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ months
Pay Rate: $45 to $50

Summary: The System Software Analyst I is an experienced member of the Cloud Team responsible for administering, securing, and optimizing the organization’s Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Intune, Azure, Entra ID, and the Power Platform. This role works on complex configuration, troubleshooting, and project work, and serves as a technical resource for other IT staff

Must Have: Microsoft 365 Administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), Microsoft Intune & Endpoint Management, Microsoft Entra ID (Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Security), Microsoft Azure Administration, PowerShell & Microsoft Graph API Automation, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive) at an advanced level
  • Design, implement, and maintain Intune device management policies, compliance baselines, and application deployment strategies
  • Manage identity and access in Entra ID, including conditional access policies, MFA/authentication strategies, privileged identity management, and hybrid identity/sync issues
  • Architect and troubleshoot Azure resources and services supporting the organization’s cloud infrastructure
  • Build and maintain Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to automate business processes and reporting
  • Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex, high-impact incidents across the M365/Azure environment
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Graph API, etc.) to streamline administration and reduce manual work
  • Own documentation of system architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures
  • Evaluate new Microsoft features and licensing changes, and recommend adoption strategies
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on projects
  • Partner with security, compliance, and other IT teams on governance, audits, and risk mitigation
  • After-hours maintenance as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, and Entra ID in a production environment
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and administration
  • Demonstrated experience with conditional access, identity security, and device compliance management
  • Experience designing or supporting Power Platform solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with complex, cross-platform issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and lead technical initiatives

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 (M365 Administrator), AZ-104 (Azure Administrator), SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator), or PL-400 (Power Platform Developer)
  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API
  • Experience in a governance/compliance-heavy or regulated industry
  • Familiarity with Intune co-management, Autopilot, or hybrid Azure AD join scenarios
  • Experience mentoring or leading small technical projects
