Job Description
  • Provide ongoing SharePoint administration services.
  • Provide third-level technical support for the setup and creation of SharePoint sites and support the SSA community in developing such.
  • Provide troubleshooting of SharePoint problems and user community questions as necessary.
  • Provide third-level support to problem records opened by end-users and representatives.
  • Make recommendations for modifications, as applicable.
  • Assist and train SSA personnel in the area of SharePoint Services and how it relates to SESS. Training is meant to be of the casual, on-the-job variety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems using research tools such as Microsoft TechNet, Microsoft Online, and Resource Kits.
  • Communicate and attend meetings with OTSO team members and other SSA divisions if necessary.
    • Document problems and issues.
    • Document solutions for preventive maintenance. Submit to the Task Manager.
    • Document problems using CAPRS. Extraordinary problems will be reported to the Task Manager upon recognition.
    • Configure, implement and support hardware relating to virtualization, including networking and SAN devices.
    • Coordinate with other support entities in OTSO to resolve large scale issues with the SESS infrastructure

Deliverables:
  • The contractor shall provide the Task Manager with a Preventive Maintenance Report via email. This document should detail solutions for preventive maintenance. The due date will range from 1 day to 1 month from the date of assignment by the Task Manager.

Requires:
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years technically relates experience;
  • SharePoint administration and support experience;
  • SharePoint Central Administration;
  • Microsoft SCOM/SCCM monitoring tool;
  • SharePoint access permissions;
  • Know parts of a SharePoint site such as document library, contact lists, announcement list and alerts;
  • Experience in an enterprise environment, preferably a SharePoint multi-server farm;
  • Familiar with checking server logs;
  • Should have PowerShell, knowledge of SMTP and SQL Server.
