Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT requirements. Ensure all trailers are properly secured and compliant with transportation regulations. Maintain accurate DOT logs, inspection reports, and transportation documentation. Transport trailers between production facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, and storage yards. Conduct yard checks and verify trailer locations as needed. Communicate effectively with transportation, warehouse, shipping, and receiving personnel. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or maintenance concerns immediately. Follow established routes and schedules while maintaining on-time performance. Adhere to all company safety procedures, food safety requirements, and quality standards. Maintain a clean and professional appearance and operate equipment in a safe manner at all times. Assist with loading, unloading, or other transportation-related duties as assigned.Work Environment / Physical DemandsFrequently sit, drive, walk, climb, bend, and reach. Ability to enter and exit commercial vehicles multiple times per shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperature environments. Ability to meet all physical requirements established by DOT regulations.Able to work required weekends. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of DOT regulations and commercial driving practices. Ability to safely maneuver tractor-trailers in confined spaces and busy yard environments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
