Job description

This National Guard position is for a SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE COORDINATOR (SARC) (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5921000 and is part of the FL JFHQ, National Guard.

Qualifications:AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to current on-board (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) US Federal employees interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements as a Sexual Assault Response coordinator (SARC).
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have a degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field

or

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.


SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS12, Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-11 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources; must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures; experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.
EMPLOYMENT NOTES:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. The incumbent of this position description must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
4. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
5. May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
6. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory.
7. Must be able to obtain required certifications, as applicable.
8. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
