The Big Task

You will lead Frank's Drain & Sewer department by owning the complete customer journey from drain diagnosis to sold sewer project and successful job completion. You'll oversee our Drain Technicians, Sewer Sales Consultants, and Inside Sales Representative, ensuring opportunities are generated, qualified, sold, scheduled, and completed while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Through coaching, accountability, process improvement, and KPI ownership, you'll maximize department revenue, conversion rates, operational efficiency, and team performance.

Key Tasks

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Drain Technicians, Sewer Sales Consultants, and the Inside Sales Representative.

  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop future team members as the department continues to grow.

  • Ensure Drain Technicians consistently identify sewer opportunities and properly transition qualified leads to the Sewer Sales team.

  • Oversee the Inside Sales Representative to ensure all leads are followed up on and managed throughout the sales pipeline.

  • Coach Sewer Sales Consultants on in-home sales techniques, financing options, objection handling, and closing skills.

  • Review sewer inspections, scopes, estimates, and proposals to ensure accurate recommendations and consistent pricing.

  • Monitor lead flow from drain service through completed sewer projects to eliminate bottlenecks and maximize conversion.

  • Track and improve department KPIs including drain-to-sewer lead generation, sewer lead conversion, average ticket, revenue, gross profit, follow-up completion, customer satisfaction, and overall team performance.

  • Lead weekly Drain & Sewer KPI meetings with leadership to review scorecards, identify trends, remove bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement across the department.

  • Partner with dispatch, operations, and excavation crews to ensure sold projects are scheduled efficiently and completed successfully.

  • Assist with complex customer situations, large estimates, and high-value opportunities.

  • Collaborate with company leadership to improve processes, reporting, and departmental performance.

  • Foster a positive, accountable, and customer-first culture focused on integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of residential plumbing, drain, sewer, excavation, or home services sales and operations experience.

  • Previous leadership experience managing field technicians, sales consultants, and/or inside sales teams.

  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing employees.

  • Strong understanding of drain diagnostics, sewer inspections, repair and replacement options, excavation, trenchless solutions, and customer financing.

  • Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service software preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use KPIs to improve department performance.

  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through and project coordination abilities.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
