Job description and primary responsibilities

Assembles mattresses using established work instructions

  • Reviews daily production schedule and supplies assigned Department operators with components and materials
  • Places various materials and components in designated areas and/or workstations
  • Completes any necessary paperwork or production related documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Creates kits of layered materials in the proper order according to schedule to supply to production areas and optimize productivity
  • Cross trains on various pneumatic tools and operates machines or other equipment as assigned, as well as other material handling departments
  • Monitors stock levels and adjusts as needed to work within quality, quantity, and minimal scrap standards
  • Organizes and/or stocks raw materials in the work area and follows departmental housekeeping requirement
  • Performs all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures and maintains workstation in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
  • Assure down time elimination of production areas

Minimum Hiring Requirements

  • Basic English reading/writing skills
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship

  • Must be able to lift heavy product or raw materials up to 20 pounds multiple times per hour (heavy loads must be team lifted)
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
  • Bilingual Spanish, desired
