We are looking for hard-working, service-minded individuals.
The Floor Coverings International Production Coordinator is responsible for delivering the installation of a project to the level of expectation set in the sale of the project. This position is the key to ensuring that customers have a positive experience and that jobs are produced efficiently and profitably. The Production Coordinator is a role that revolves around a high level of customer service, communication, problem-solving, and organization along with some technical responsibilities. Any eye for detail is the key to ensuring that each project looks excellent before being revealed to the end user. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient and will accept ownership of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Familiarize yourself with the details of each project
  • Ensure that all products and materials needed for each job are ordered accurately
  • Consistently monitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time
  • Communicate with customers and installers to coordinate installation dates
  • Set proper expectations with customers regarding the installation process and how it will affect their daily lives and the condition of their home during the installation
  • Provide daily updates to the customer regarding the details of the installation
  • Complete job site visits daily for all projects to check in with installers and customers
  • Confirm scope of work and compensation with installers prior to start of job
  • Deliver on expectations contracted in the sales process
  • Ensure job site cleanliness after installation, walk the customer through job at completion, and collect final payment
  • Assist in management of the Production Assistant - communicate where they will go and what responsibilities they will have each day
  • Resolve any customer complaints, repairs, or other inquiries with urgency
  • Assist installation crews with whatever is necessary to finish projects and ensure a clean job site
  • Assist Office Manager in ensuring accurate invoicing for each project
  • Work home show booths as needed (3 Spring, 1 Fall), which includes weekend hours
  • Carry out small installations or repairs - this often involves transitions and moldings (training available)
  • Lifting up to 80 lbs. on occasion
  • Work with hand tools and power tools alike along with paints, stains, and finishes
  • Keep warehouse and company vehicles organized and presentable
  • Be available to attend training seminars as needed
  • Continually educate yourself on new flooring types and installation methods
  • Make decisions and act in accordance with FCI's core values and mission

Qualifications:
  • High school or equivalent
  • Associate degree or some college (preferred)
  • Customer service experience
  • Project management experience
  • Home improvement or flooring sales/installation experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Able to work independently without supervision
  • High level of organizational skills including time management, priority management, delegation, and detail orientation
  • Outstanding written and communication skills
