What you'll do

As a Senior C++ Systems Software Designer, your main responsibilities will include designing, developing and optimizing high-performance C++ software for transporting and processing very high-bandwidth real-time data streams in different technology market areas such as telecommunications, networking, media processing, high-performance computing and real-time data systems.

  • Concevoir et developper des composants logiciels C++ haute performance pour des applications temps reel et a large bande passante.
  • Architecturer des logiciels capables de transporter et de manipuler efficacement des flux de donnees de classe 12 a 25 Gbps.
  • Developper des applications Linux et/ou RTOS sur des plateformes ARM ou x86.
  • Concevoir des mecanismes efficaces d'IPC et de partage de donnees, notamment par memoire partagee, buffers mappes en memoire, architectures producteur/consommateur, ring buffers, files d'attente et primitives de synchronisation.
  • Mettre en uvre des chemins de donnees zero copie ou a nombre de copies reduit lorsque pertinent.
  • Optimiser la bande passante memoire, l'utilisation CPU, l'ordonnancement des threads, le comportement du cache, la latence et le debit applicatif.
  • Concevoir des logiciels multithreads et asynchrones capables de soutenir un trafic continu a tres haut debit.
  • Integrer des SDK, bibliotheques, pilotes et API materielles tierces.
  • Creer des abstractions propres entre les applications, les services du systeme d'exploitation et le materiel.
  • Diagnostiquer des problemes complexes couvrant les applications, le systeme d'exploitation, le reseau, la memoire et les interfaces materielles.
  • Profiler et mesurer les logiciels afin d'identifier les goulots d'etranglement de debit et de latence.
  • Participer aux revues d'architecture, de conception et de code et produire du code C++ de production maintenable et testable.
  • Contribuer a l'evolution d'architectures dediees ou sur site vers des environnements virtualises et prets pour le cloud.
 
  • Designing and developing high-performance C++ software components for real-time and high-bandwidth applications.
  • Architecting software capable of efficiently transporting and manipulating 12 to 25 Gbps-class data streams.
  • Developing Linux and/or RTOS applications on ARM or x86 platforms.
  • Designing efficient IPC and data-sharing mechanisms including shared memory, memory-mapped buffers, producer/consumer architectures, ring buffers, queues and synchronization primitives.
  • Implementing zero-copy or reduced-copy data paths where appropriate.
  • Optimizing memory bandwidth, CPU utilization, thread scheduling, cache behavior, latency and application throughput.
  • Designing multithreaded and asynchronous software capable of sustaining continuous high-speed traffic.
  • Integrating third-party SDKs, libraries, drivers and hardware APIs.
  • Creating clean abstractions between applications, operating-system services and underlying hardware.
  • Debugging complex issues spanning applications, operating systems, networking, memory and hardware interfaces.
  • Profiling and benchmarking software to identify throughput and latency bottlenecks.
  • Participating in architecture, design and code reviews and producing maintainable, testable production C++ code.
  • Contributing to architectures that can evolve from dedicated or on-premise deployments toward virtualized and cloud-ready environments.
