Job description

Join us at Sesame Place and help bring joy, excitement, and lasting memories to people from around the world. We're seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to become our Ambassadors. Come and play an important part on our incredible team today!

Please note: We are not accepting J-1 Visa students at this time and do not sponsor visas at our park. All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of their interview and will be required to provide proof of work authorization upon hire. Please ensure you are available to attend an in-person interview at the date and time you select, as exceptions cannot be made to this requirement.

What you get to do:

As a Food & Beverage Service Ambassador, Alcohol, you'll ensure a great eating experience for our guests in a variety of venues, including restaurants, carts/kiosks, specialty snack carts, coffee shops, dessert stations, and more. This is not solely a bartending role-you'll be stationed in restaurant and concession areas such as alcohol carts, food stands, bars, and more to assist with all things food & beverage including food service. Wherever you serve, you will:

  • Enthusiastically greet and welcome guests
  • Provide information to guests on food & beverage products being offered
  • Make recommendations to fit each guest's needs
  • Support dietary restrictions, allergies and special needs
  • Take orders in a prompt manner and ensure execution of delivery
  • Maintain a clean working environment
  • Operate cash register
  • Maintain monies and sales information for audit and balance
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures
  • Prepare/carry vending trays

What it takes to succeed:

  • At least 21 years old
  • Certification requirement: Candidate must have the ability to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification through the SeaWorld training process.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English; positive attitude, team player; multi-tasking skills, collaboration skills
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service
  • Ability to learn/use point of sale (cash register) systems
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand extensively
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to complete all required training, including ServSafe and RCS Responsible Vendor Training
  • Flexibility in working varied shifts
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Food service and/or theme park experience highly desirable

Availability:

  • This is a Part-Time role
  • During the non-peak season, must be available both Saturday & Sunday
  • During the peak season, must have 3 days of unrestricted availability, to include the weekends
  • You must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Hours vary based on business need; may be scheduled 0-29 hours weekly

Compensation:

  • 16.90 USD per hour
