Job Summary

Bakery Manager is responsible for leading and setting an example for kitchen team members and motivating them to complete their job duties effectively. To train new team members and provide Team Members with daily objectives, develop and implement reward systems to motivate team member productivity and communicate with upper management to determine the best methods for meeting business goals. Floor managers are experts in every aspect of production, SQF, processes and procedures, capacity planning, recipes, and represent the Sprinkles Core Values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and justify equipment and supply needs.
  • Implement new product development with the Bakery Operations Manager and CEO.
  • Oversea work schedules to ensure proper staffing levels relative to current and projected business trends; monitor utilization of personnel and workflow to maximize productivity and achieve labor costs.
  • Drive a collaborative department culture of creating winning experiences for team members.
  • Enforce and develop organizational policies, procedures, and quality service standards.
  • Hire, train, and develop team members to meet accepted standards and departmental objectives.
  • Ensure team members are properly oriented to the organization as required by company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with facility maintenance team to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Ensure all job injuries are reported and investigated in a timely manner.
  • Maintain department records.
  • Promote winning experiences by addressing and resolving complaints, concerns, or special needs.


Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Complete an HACCP training course and be proficient in your understanding and proficiency in the implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Plan for Sprinkles Donut Shop, Central Kitchen.
  • Be proficient in your understanding and proficiency in the SQF Food Safety Code relevant to Central Kitchen’s scope of certification. Be able to lead team in the implementation and maintenance of the SQF Food Safety Code.
  • Ability to drive process improvement.
  • Ability to develop team members to meet accepted standards and departmental objectives.
  • Ability to foster an environment that nurtures collaboration, teamwork, and respect.
  • Ability to rapidly prioritize a variety of tasks and take appropriate action.
