Job description

The H.T. Hackney Co. is a privately-owned, broad line convenience store distributor who has served customers for over 134 years and is looking for an energetic and dedicated Garage Service Mechanic to join our team.

We are now accepting applications for Garage Service Mechanic at our Lenoir City, TN facility conveniently located off I-40 at Industrial Park, Exit 362.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service all fleet vehicles including all cars, trucks and tractor trailers
  • Produce quality work in an efficient and safe manner
  • Excellent communication is required to report work status and ensure equipment is maintained and repaired for safe operation
  • Prioritize repairs/work orders each shift

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge in all aspects of mechanical work on trucks
  • Experience with working on Semi-Air Brakes
  • General brake knowledge of all vehicles
  • Knowledge of refer units
  • Basic vehicle wiring knowledge
  • Dependable & punctual
  • Reliable transportation to/from work
  • Works well individually and as a team member
  • Ability to work evening shift Sunday-Thursday 5:00 PM-1:30AM
  • Basic mechanics tool ownership required
  • Pass pre-employment DS & physical
  • Must be 18+ for consideration
