As the Service Manager at Florida Avenue Brewing Co., your primary mission is to lead from the front, becoming the face of operations during our busiest hours, primarily in the evenings. You will directly manage and mentor our Servers and Hosts, empowering them to deliver exceptional service while expertly overseeing the atmosphere and pacing of the floor. Your role involves handling guest recovery and optimizing seating efficiency at the host stand. While your focus is on Front of House (FOH) operations, you will collaborate closely with the Back of House (BOH) Manager, stepping in as needed to assist in Expo or run food during peak times. Additionally, as a key opener and closer, you will ensure the facility's security and set your team up for success, demonstrating an operational ownership that reflects our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

To thrive as a Service Manager at Florida Avenue Brewing Co., you should possess a blend of essential skills and experience. A background in hospitality management or supervisory roles (1–2 years) is crucial, along with proven abilities in directing scheduling and performance management for a diverse team. Technical proficiency with Toast POS and Toast Tables will enable you to effectively manage floor charts and kitchen display systems. Familiarity with Google Suite, particularly Sheets and Calendar, is necessary for seamless staff scheduling.

An execution-minded approach is key; you should have a natural sense of urgency to identify and address service bottlenecks before they impact the guest experience. Additionally, versatility is vital, as you will predominantly work evening shifts and must be willing to support various areas within the establishment, whether fixing a pour at the bar or assisting the kitchen during busy periods.

• Experience: 1–2 years of hospitality management or supervisory experience.
• Direct Management: Proven ability to handle scheduling and performance management for a diverse team.
• Technical Proficiency: * Toast POS & Toast Tables: High proficiency in managing floor charts and KDS flow.
• Google Suite: Experience using Sheets and Calendar for staff scheduling.
• Execution-Minded: You have a natural sense of urgency and can spot a service bottleneck before it affects the guest experience.
• Versatility: You are comfortable working majority evening shifts and are willing to support any area of the building-whether it's fixing a pour or helping the kitchen during a rush.
