Responsibilities
  • Greet customers in friendly and professional manner as they enter service department.
  • Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; record amount received.
  • Compute customer bills, make change and issue receipts to customers; reconcile cash drawer daily.
  • Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by managers.
  • Work with department managers to stay on top of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in price.
  • Answer customer questions about service performed or products purchased or refer them to someone who can.
  • Handle customer complaints with integrity and patience and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
