Lead Our Culinary Team!
Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center is seeking an experienced and passionate Food Service Director to oversee all aspects of our Dietary Services Department. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is committed to providing exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of nutrition, food quality, and regulatory compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team focused on enhancing the lives of our residents through outstanding care and service.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department, including food preparation, meal service, and sanitation.
  • Manage, train, and supervise dietary staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to ensure residents receive meals that meet their nutritional and therapeutic needs.
  • Develop and maintain departmental budgets and control food and labor costs.
  • Manage food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure resident satisfaction by maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as needed.
  • Maintain survey readiness and assist during state and federal inspections.
Qualifications:
  • Previous leadership experience in food service management, preferably in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, Hospital, or healthcare setting.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively.
  • Experience with budgeting, staffing, and inventory management.
