Job description

Now hiring, Department Assistant for Radiation Therapy - Munster location
Full-time / Benefit Package
Medical Assistant, CNA, or Patient Care Tech experience preferred. Position requires patient transport by wheelchair/cart; taking patient vitals; and front desk assistance.
POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Performs clerical and patient care duties and procedures relating to inpatients and outpatients. Scheduling examinations and performs other related duties to ensure efficient and effective daily operations. Maintains a high level of initiative, dependability and motivation. Communicates effectively and exhibits sound judgment in patient safety and treats all individuals with professionalism and respect.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant, with prior direct patient care preferred
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patients / families of all ages.
  • Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, physicians and other hospital associates.
