Overall Summary
As a service consultant you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

Key Responsibilities - Customer Consultation: Greet customers warmly, actively listen to vehicle concerns, and perform initial walk-around inspections. Create thorough Repair Orders (ROs) detailing customer concerns. Estimating cost for parts and labor, present preventative maintenance schedules, and secure customer authorization before work begins. Communicate diagnostic needs clearly to the shop and track repair status to ensure jobs are completed by the promised time. Adhere strictly to Hyundai warranty guidelines, verify service contracts. Maintain consistent contact with customers throughout the day to deliver vehicle status updates, explain modifications, and manage repair expectations.
Job Qualifications - Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an automotive service drive or repair facility. Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, maintenance schedules, and basic warranty processing procedures. Experience navigating Dealership Management Systems (DMS). Outstanding communication, organizational capability, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.High school diploma or equivalent; a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
