Server Technician Tier 3
PangeaTwo is partnering with a well-established and highly respected managed service provider that has been supporting clients across the Birmingham area for over two decades. Our client delivers high-level IT services and is expanding their technical team with an experienced Tier 3 Server Technician. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in server troubleshooting, cloud technologies, and advanced network/server engineering.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges while supporting a diverse set of clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for Windows servers in complex environments
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with Microsoft Exchange and Office 365
  • Support and troubleshoot firewalls; execute advanced server and email migrations
  • Install and configure Hyper-V clusters, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure-hosted server environments
  • Set up and manage Active Directory, Exchange, and O365 accounts
  • Manage DNS, DHCP, and related network services
  • Perform server migrations and high-level infrastructure upgrades
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams; operate as a flexible, solutions-driven team member
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Tier 3 or similar technical role
  • Strong proficiency troubleshooting:
    • Windows Server (advanced)
    • Microsoft Exchange
    • Office 365
    • Firewalls and network components
  • Deep understanding of server/network engineering principles
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Hyper-V cluster installation and configuration
    • Azure Site Recovery
    • Azure-based servers and services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused, client-centric environment
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities within a managed services context
