Hardware Engineer III : 64689-1
Location:
Redmond, WA
Duration: 12 month extension with good performance.
This role is 100% onsite (5 days per week)
Software or Hardware engineer with 5+ years of experience and have good firmware and data analytics background with HW/prototype development background as well. Familiar with common program languages and commands. 1. Operating optical HW prototypes (including PCB boards, electrical flexes, cameras, LEDs) 2. Operating on existing SW tools (running command line scripts and GUI, familiarity with on demand server) 3. Basic SW/HW troubleshooting skills (basic understanding of command line scripts, practices like restarting HW etc)
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience and have good firmware and data analytics background with HW/prototype development background as well. Familiar with common program languages and commands.
Job description:
1. Operating optical HW prototypes (including PCB boards, electrical flexes, cameras, LEDs)
2. Operating on existing SW tools (running command line scripts and GUI, familiarity with on demand server)
3. Basic SW/HW troubleshooting skills (basic understanding of command line scripts, practices like restarting HW etc)
4. Train moderators on how to use prototype devices
5. Ability to drive to and from Meta Campus to vendor sites for weekly checks on prototype devices

Top 3 must-have HARD skills:
1. Operating hardware prototypes. ( EE background is great)
2. Software or Electrical engineer degree is a must
3. Must be a strong problem solver and great with debugging systems
Good to have skills:
Hardware prototyping engineering background would be perfect
Hardware Test Engineer would be good.
Mechanical Test engineer would likely not be a good fit
