Responsibilities

We're looking for a talented Software Engineer to help build the distributed backend that powers our AI agent platform and the developer-facing products around it. In this role, you will:

  • Build and enhance scalable backend services that process work reliably in distributed environments.
  • Develop developer-facing APIs, integrations, and tooling, including real-time services, gateways, and CLIs.
  • Integrate LLMs and agentic workflows into production applications under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle—from implementation and testing to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in thoughtful code reviews and collaborative engineering practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, improve system reliability, and optimize performance as our platform grows.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, AI researchers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality developer products.
RequirementsQualifications / Experience / Technical Skills
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or another modern programming language, with experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Solid understanding of backend software engineering fundamentals, including APIs, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems concepts.
  • Experience building backend services or APIs, preferably in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, streaming, or asynchronous processing is a plus.
  • Experience deploying or supporting applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred) and exposure to Kubernetes, containers, or modern infrastructure tooling is desirable.
  • Experience with observability tools, logging, metrics, or debugging production systems is a plus.
  • Experience building or supporting developer-facing products such as APIs, SDKs, CLIs, or developer platforms is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI applications, RAG, MCP, or agentic systems is a strong plus.

Our Stack: Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, AWS. You don't need experience with every technology—we're looking for engineers who learn quickly and enjoy working across new technologies.

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Demonstrates ownership by taking features from implementation through delivery while collaborating effectively with teammates.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an interest in building reliable, scalable software.
  • Product-minded and curious about how technical decisions impact developer experience and end users.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
  • AI-native—uses modern AI development tools (such as Claude Code or similar) to improve productivity and engineering workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and product teams.
