This is a healthcare technology company that helps independent primary care practices succeed in value-based care. As the organization scales and invests in AI-driven productivity, they need IT Operations engineers who can operationally manage and administer the next generation of enterprise AI tools as they are brought into the organization. This role is not about building AI from scratch, it is about owning the end-to-end operational management of AI tools like Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Gemini Enterprise, ensuring they are properly configured, secured, connected to existing IT systems, and running reliably in production.
These engineers will sit at the intersection of IT Operations and AI tool management, ensuring that as new AI tools are introduced, they are fully integrated into their operational ecosystem from day one.
- Operationally manage and administer enterprise AI tools including Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and Gemini Enterprise as they are onboarded into the organization. (30% of time)
- Build and maintain the connectors and integration layers that tie AI tools into existing IT systems, workflows, and data sources. (20% of time)
- Ensure AI tools are properly configured, secured, and governed in alignment with data security, NIST, and healthcare compliance requirements. (20% of time)
- Monitor system health and operational performance of AI tools and integration layers; support incident response and troubleshooting when issues arise. (20% of time)
- Develop and maintain SOPs, documentation, and disaster recovery strategies for AI-integrated toolsets. (10% of time)
Qualifications Required:
- 2+ years in IT Operations, SysAdmin, or DevOps with a genuine track record of managing enterprise tools and systems in a production environment
- Hands-on experience operationally managing or administering enterprise AI tools such as Claude Code, Gemini Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms
- Experience building or managing connectors and integrations between enterprise IT tools and AI systems
- Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance implications when connecting IT systems to AI agents
- Python and/or API experience for building automated workflows and integrations
Preferred:
- Direct experience with Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or Gemini Enterprise in a production environment
- Experience with iPaaS platforms such as Workato, Tray.io, or Okta Workflows
- Knowledge of Datadog or similar observability tools for monitoring AI tool performance
- Understanding of SOX, SOC II, or NIST compliance frameworks in an IT operations context
- Experience with LangChain or similar AI orchestration frameworks
- PowerShell scripting for automation and workflow management
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethesda, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.00 - $74.00/hr.
