SPA is seeking a Senior Windows Administrator. The Senior Windows Administrator will provide support to the Tactical Innovation and Experimentation Lab (TIEL) for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems. The selected candidate will work directly with end customers to meet their needs while ensuring the performance and security of the computer system.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems; applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes; installing and configuring new hardware and software; and adding, removing, or updating user account information, including resetting passwords. Additional duties involve managing system security, documenting system configurations, troubleshooting anomalies, training personnel on the use of the system, and supporting Approval to Operate (ATO) requirements.
Maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, and DHCP.Write advanced PowerShell scripts to streamline/automate routine tasks and deployments.Apply security patches, manage access controls, and monitor system event logs.Oversee routine backups, failover procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, electronics engineering, or computer engineering
  • 8+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
  • 5+ years of experience configuring, administering, and maintaining Windows computer systems
  • Current Security+ and/or Windows based certifications
  • Microsoft Windows and Server experience
  • Experience in configuration and management of physical and/or virtual machine environments
  • Basic network knowledge
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing customer environment in a closed lab
  • Must be a team player and work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly
  • Strong work ethic
  • A focus on the needs of the customer and the team
  • An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

  • Certificate knowledge
