For the needs of one of our prestigious clients—a major banking actor in Montreal currently experiencing strong growth—we are actively seeking an experienced Windows Desktop Administrator.

Key Details
  • Location: Downtown Montreal, QC (Hybrid model after 2 months)

  • Hours: Full-Time (40 hrs/week) | USA Calendar Schedule

  • Contract: 6-Month Contract

  • Work Authorization: Must hold full legal authorization to work in Canada (Citizenship, PR, or Valid Work Permit).

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a senior, hands-on Windows Desktop Administrator (7–10 years of experience) to support their end-user computing (EUC) ecosystem.

In this role, you will ensure the performance, stability, and security of physical desktops, virtual environments (VDI), and Citrix delivery platforms. You will play a key role in automation, application packaging, and golden image management within a highly regulated financial setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Desktop & VDI Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows 10/11 environments across physical endpoints and virtual platforms (Citrix CVAD/DaaS, VMware Horizon).

  • Citrix & Infrastructure: Administer Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Workspace, StoreFront, and basic NetScaler/ADC configurations.

  • Automation & Scripting: Write and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts (Python is a plus) to automate deployment, patching, and routine operational tasks.

  • Packaging & Endpoint Security: Package applications (MSIX, App-V, Flexera) and handle endpoint management/imaging using tools like SCCM/MECM, Intune, or Altiris.

  • Active Directory & Policies: Manage GPOs, Active Directory objects, OUs, and security baselines.

  • User Profile & Security Hardening: Maintain profile management tools (FSLogix, Citrix Profile Management), execute vulnerability patching, and manage golden images.

  • Collaboration: Partner with global IT teams (Network, Security, Systems) adhering to ITIL standards (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).



RequirementsRequirements:
  • Experience: 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience in Windows Desktop / EUC Systems Administration.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

  • Core Technical Expertise:

    • Advanced Windows 10/11 administration and complex troubleshooting.

    • Deep hands-on experience with Citrix CVAD/DaaS & VDI architecture.

    • Strong PowerShell scripting abilities.

    • Solid understanding of Active Directory, GPOs, FSLogix, and networking basics (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).

    • Experience with OS migrations (e.g., Win 10 to Win 11, VDI upgrades).

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in Investment Banking or Financial Services within a regulated, global environment.

  • Legal Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Languages & Soft Skills:
  • English: Mandatory (Fluent in written and spoken English for global team collaboration).

  • French: A plus / definite asset.

  • Soft Skills: Outstanding problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and excellent communication.
