Alteo is seeking a Senior System Administrator for a permanent position based in Montreal.

*** Hybrid work: 2 days in the office per week ***

Within a well-established SME offering exciting challenges, you will be responsible for implementing best practices in IT infrastructure. You will have a significant impact by improving processes related to systems, networks, IT security, DevOps, vendor management, and team coaching.

You are an experienced system/network administrator with excellent analytical skills, as well as a keen sense of organization and priority management. You have an entrepreneurial/builder mindset, are engaged, and results-oriented. You are a strong communicator and are committed to mentoring junior colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, secure, and monitor on-premises and cloud (Azure) network infrastructures
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of environments
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and supervision tools
  • Manage access, firewalls, VPNs, backups, and disaster recovery plans
  • Administer cloud environments hosting web solutions and applications (Azure)
  • Participate in the design, architecture, and evolution of cloud solutions
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of platforms
  • Support and advise developers on DevOps best practices, with the help of an external partner

Profile:

  • DEC/BAC in IT or equivalent

  • Administrer, sécuriser et superviser les infrastructures réseau sur site et dans le cloud (Azure)
  • Garantir la disponibilité, la performance et la sécurité des environnements
  • Mettre en place et maintenir des outils de supervision, d’alerte et de monitoring
  • Gérer les accès, les pare-feu, les VPN, les sauvegardes et les plans de reprise après sinistre
  • Administrer les environnements cloud hébergeant les solutions et les applications web (Azure)
  • Participer à la conception, à l’architecture et à l’évolution des solutions cloud
  • Assurer la fiabilité, l’évolutivité et la sécurité des plateformes
