Job description

Job Description

One of WFS Group’s rapidly growing financial services clients is seeking highly consultative CFP® professionals to join their inbound sales team and help high net worth retirees make smarter retirement tax planning decisions.

This is NOT a traditional financial advisor role.

You will NOT be:

  • Prospecting

  • Cold calling

  • Networking for referrals

  • Managing assets

  • Building financial plans

  • Hunting for clients

Instead, you’ll spend your time having sophisticated consultative conversations with affluent retirees and pre-retirees who have already expressed interest in advanced retirement tax planning strategies.

This is a high-ticket inbound consultative sales role designed for CFP® professionals who genuinely enjoy client conversations, relationship-building, education, and helping prospects make informed financial decisions.

The ideal candidate is not a “hard closer.”

They are a trusted advisor, a confident communicator, and someone who can create genuine “aha moments” during the conversation.

If you’ve ever thought:

  • “I’m great with clients but tired of building a book”

  • “I love the conversations more than the planning work”

  • “I’d earn significantly more if someone handed me qualified meetings”
…this may be exactly the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

A Snapshot of WFS Group:

WFS Group is a fast-paced, high-performance outsourced sales organization specializing in helping companies scale through world-class sales talent and infrastructure.

Think of us as an outsourced sales department for fast-growing businesses.

Our clients partner with us to recruit, train, and develop elite sales professionals who can represent their brands at the highest level. We work with innovative companies across multiple industries that rely on consultative sales environments and premium client experiences.

This opportunity is with one of our premier financial services partners specializing in retirement tax planning and wealth strategy solutions.

Position Overview:

As a Senior Wealth Strategy Consultant, you will conduct 25-30 pre-scheduled Zoom consultations per week with high-net-worth prospects generated directly through the client’s marketing engine.

These are warm, inbound conversations with individuals typically:

  • Ages 59-75

  • Holding $1M-$5M+ in retirement assets

  • Actively seeking retirement tax planning guidance

Using the client’s proven consultative framework, you’ll assess each prospect’s retirement situation, educate them on advanced tax planning strategies, and help them determine whether the process is the right fit.

You are the closer, not the planner.

A dedicated planning team handles implementation after the client enrolls.

This role is ideal for professionals who:

  • Communicate with confidence

  • Build trust naturally

  • Simplify complex financial concepts

  • Thrive in relationship-driven conversations

  • Enjoy educating more than “selling”

  • Want the earning upside of sales without the grind of prospecting

Why Top Performers Love This Opportunity:
  • 100% remote environment

  • 25-30 inbound consultations per week provided

  • $200K-$250K+ realistic earning potential

  • No cold calling or prospecting

  • Sophisticated financial conversations with affluent clients

  • High-ticket consultative sales environment

  • Extensive coaching and ongoing development

  • High-performance culture without toxic sales pressure

  • Opportunity to sell a service that genuinely changes lives

Major Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inbound Zoom consultations with qualified prospects.

  • Use the client’s diagnostic framework to assess retirement planning concerns and tax exposure risks.

  • Educate prospects on retirement tax mitigation and Roth conversion planning concepts.

  • Create meaningful “epiphany moments” that help prospects understand the long-term impact of tax planning decisions.

  • Build trust and credibility through clear, consultative communication.

  • Guide prospects through the decision-making process without relying on pressure-based sales tactics.

  • Manage follow-up conversations and pipeline activity with discipline and consistency.

  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and forecasting.

  • Participate in coaching sessions, team reviews, and ongoing training initiatives.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue and close-rate targets.

  • Contribute positively to a high-performance, coachable team culture.

Professionals Who Tend To Thrive Here:
  • CFP® professionals who enjoy client conversations more than building plans

  • Advisors tired of prospecting and business development

  • Consultants who naturally create trust and clarity

  • Professionals with strong executive presence on Zoom

  • Financial professionals who enjoy educating more than “selling”

  • Relationship-driven communicators with strong emotional intelligence

  • Advisors who want to maximize income without managing assets

  • Highly coachable professionals who thrive within proven systems

Requirements:
  • CFP® designation in good standing (non-negotiable)

  • 5+ years in a client-facing financial planning, advisory, or consultative financial services role

  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals

  • Strong consultative communication skills

  • Clean U4 regulatory history

  • Confidence presenting premium planning fees

  • Strong executive presence and professionalism on Zoom

  • High emotional intelligence and active listening ability

  • Strong follow-up discipline and pipeline management skills

  • Coachable mindset with willingness to follow a proven process

  • CRM experience preferred

You SHOULD Apply If:
  • You naturally build trust quickly with people

  • You’re confident without being overly aggressive

  • You enjoy educating and guiding people through financial decisions

  • You have strong executive presence and communication skills

  • You’re tired of building a book from scratch

  • You want inbound opportunities instead of endless prospecting

  • You’re intellectually curious and financially sophisticated

  • You thrive in high-performance environments

  • You want uncapped earning potential tied to performance

You SHOULD NOT Apply If:
  • You prefer technical planning work over client interaction

  • You dislike consultative conversations

  • You want full autonomy instead of a proven process

  • You struggle with follow-up discipline and accountability

  • You dislike performance metrics or coaching

  • You are uncomfortable discussing premium fees confidently

  • You rely heavily on pressure-based sales tactics

  • You are looking for a low-effort advisor role

If you’re a high-performing CFP® professional who loves consultative client conversations but is tired of the traditional advisor grind, this is an opportunity to maximize both your impact and earning potential in a highly differentiated role.
