Job Summary:
The Sr. Warehouse Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across warehouse functions to ensure excellence in safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery performance. This role leads warehouse managers and supervisors, oversees large frontline teams indirectly, and drives process standardization, systems implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives to support current operations and future growth.
This role is ideal for an experienced operations leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has successfully led complex, people-intensive operations across distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, or multi-site environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
  • Provide leadership and direction to warehouse managers and supervisors overseeing inbound, put-away, kitting, inventory, and shipping operations.
  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance across key KPIs including safety, productivity, quality, labor efficiency, and cost.
  • Establish, maintain, and continually improve warehouse operating standards and SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance.

People & Organization Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers to build a strong leadership bench and high-performing teams.
  • Drive employee engagement, safety culture, and accountability across multiple shifts and functional areas.
  • Partner with Human Resources on workforce planning, performance management, talent development, and organizational design.

Process Improvement & Systems Implementation
  • Lead warehouse layout, process, and system improvement initiatives, including rack system implementation, workflow optimization, and operational readiness activities.
  • Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.

Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration
  • Partner with facilities, engineering, IT, procurement, and external vendors to support warehouse infrastructure, equipment readiness, and operational scalability.
  • Act as the operations lead for warehouse transformation and change-management initiatives.
  • Support replication and standardization of successful operating models across current and future sites.

Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and lead initiatives to reduce incidents and improve workplace safety.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent leadership experience).
  • 8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, retail, or multi-site operations.
  • Proven experience leading managers of managers and large frontline teams.
  • Strong background in operational performance management, KPI ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, implement new processes or systems, and scale operations.

Preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience supporting automation, robotics, or system-driven operations.
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced operational environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Salary Range
$115,000 - $150,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
