Job description

At Always Best Care, we provide compassionate, high-quality in-home care for seniors and individuals needing support with daily living activities. We take pride in offering care that emphasizes personal dignity, safety, and emotional well-being. As a trusted care provider in the Greater West Houston area, we are expanding our team and seeking dedicated caregivers to join us.

We are urgently hiring for a Vietnamese-speaking caregiver to assist a client in Houston, TX (77084). This position requires experience with dementia care and a reliable commitment to steady shifts.

Location: Greater West Houston (Current Need: Houston, TX 77084)
Shifts Available: Day Shift – 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Follow a care plan outlined by a supervisor to provide daily living assistance, including but not limited to medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal care.

  • Monitor and track client health and well-being, and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor.

  • Provide companionship and emotional support, with a special focus on dementia care needs.

  • Assist with errands, appointments, and transportation as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on client care and activities.

  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols to protect clients and maintain a clean and healthy environment.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors to ensure the best care.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Prior caregiving experience with dementia patients strongly preferred.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is ideal but not required.

  • Ability to pass a background check and reference check.

  • Must be fluent in Vietnamese to effectively communicate with the client.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Empathy, patience, and compassion toward elderly clients.

  • Must be comfortable around dogs (client has pets in the home).

  • Must be willing to travel up to 25 miles when needed.
