Job Description

 

  • The SVP, Data Science will be responsible for driving data strategy and execution for a global client.
  • This is a senior leadership role on the Razorfish data team, responsible for understanding and outlining a roadmap for best-in-class data strategy based on a strong foundation of analytics and modeling, as well as partnering with teams across Publicis Groupe to bring data capabilities to internal and client teams.
  • Candidates should have extensive experience across analytical tools, and expertise with performance reporting across major customer journey touchpoints (e.g., media, CRM, site, etc.).
  • Candidates should also have a proven track record of client engagement experience, i.e., have experience socializing complex technical ideas and products to multiple stakeholders across various industries.
  • Lastly, candidates should also have extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly as it relates to connecting disparate data sources, and the regulatory considerations for data collection and activation.
  • This role reports to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Razorfish and will be part of the Razorfish data leadership team.

Responsibilities
  • The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader and highly skilled communicator with a proven track record of collaborating with senior clients (including CMOs, CTOs, and CEOs) to craft comprehensive digital transformation strategies and detailed data roadmaps. Adept at integrating domain-specific insights in industries including financial services, automotive, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and others. Skilled in translating business requirements into actionable data initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in building and managing cross-functional data teams, including data analysts, data scientists, data engineers, data instrumentation, and other roles. Demonstrated success in establishing collaboration across technical and non-technical teams, ensuring alignment between data strategy and overarching business goals.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience as a data lead in working alongside diverse teams such as business strategy, software development, UX/UI design, and creative teams-to deliver holistic data-driven solutions that enhance product offerings and align with business strategy. Proven ability to interface between technical and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data solutions into product roadmaps.
  • Expertise in utilizing advanced data solutions to improve business performance, including statistical analysis, A/B testing, predictive modeling, and causal inference. Proven success in leveraging experimentations and test-and-learn methodologies to optimize marketing strategies, product features, and operational efficiencies.
  • Experience working with global teams and developing cohesive strategies to elevate data capabilities across regions.
  • Extensive experience mentoring and coaching junior and mid-level data scientists and analysts, helping them develop their technical skills, adopt industry best practices, and grow into leadership roles.
  • Deeply knowledgeable about the marketing industry, data science validation techniques, data strategy best practices, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the data team.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in data science and analytics.
  • Expert level understanding of multiple data science, analytics, data management and customer data platform tools.
  • Strong understanding of and history developing product from conceptual ideation to commercial launch.
  • An expert level grasp of advertising, marketing and strategic brand management and how to best leverage these in a digital environment.
  • Experience presenting in front of groups, to clients, and via web conference in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment with multi-disciplinary teams required.
  • The ability to successfully manage multiple internal and external initiatives / projects in a deadline-driven environment.

 Compensation Range: USD $180,215.00 - USD $299,637.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
