We are looking for a talented Salesforce Platform Leader to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Corporate organization in Atlanta, GA

Job Summary
Location preferred - Atlanta, Columbus (Indiana) 
Manages teams of Software Engineers and platform professionals in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Directs the work to ensure best practices around software development and platform operations, including the use of modern software engineering practices and Salesforce platform capabilities.
Accountable for end-to-end Salesforce Platform leadership across multiple platform services, including stakeholder engagement, delivery excellence, and operational stability. Ensures both product and organizational milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.
Drives alignment with business stakeholders, influences senior leadership and peers, and leads people development to build a high-performing, globally distributed team. Demonstrates strong conflict management and decision-making capabilities across competing priorities. Incorporates emerging AI capabilities (e.g., Agentforce, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to improve developer productivity, strengthen security, and simplify CI/CD processes across PowerCells.

Key Responsibilities
Develops and maintains a technology roadmap aligned to Salesforce platform strategy, full-stack software development deliverables, and enterprise architecture standards. Role models technical excellence in at least one area of expertise related to Software Engineering and SaaS platform delivery.
Manages people including work plan development, performance management, career growth, and individual development, while fostering a strong team culture, accountability, and continuous learning.
Leads team building and development including organization design, recruiting, and global team management across distributed delivery models.
Partners closely with business stakeholders and product teams (PowerCells) to prioritize demand, align on business outcomes, and ensure value realization from platform investments.
Demonstrates strong stakeholder management by effectively influencing senior leadership, peers, and cross-functional teams, including Salesforce platform leaders, to drive alignment and achieve enterprise outcomes.
Applies effective conflict management and negotiation skills to resolve competing priorities, drive decisions, and maintain forward progress across initiatives.
Drives stakeholder communication across business units, IT leadership, vendors, and executives to ensure transparency, alignment, and informed decision-making.
Compiles and presents management reports on team performance including metrics, deliverable status, platform health, adoption, and value delivered (e.g., productivity gains, hours saved).
Communicates status, risks, and recommendations to Senior Management and key stakeholders.
Supervises team adherence to all internal IT processes, policies, and procedures including IT Security, Compliance, and enterprise governance standards.
Leads governance for all software engineering programs/projects executed or supported by their teams, ensuring consistency with enterprise architecture and platform standards.
Manages financial aspects of their respective teams and platform spend including AOP (Annual Operating Plan), budget management, license optimization, vendor contracts, and forecasting.
Drives adoption of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automation, DevSecOps, and AI-assisted development to improve speed, quality, and developer capacity.
Evaluates and applies AI capabilities (Agentforce, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance platform operations, reduce manual effort, strengthen security, and improve overall delivery efficiency across teams.

  • Regulatory Risk Compliance Management - Evaluates the design and effectiveness of controls against established industry frameworks and regulations to assess adherence with legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Release Planning - Plans and manages the release of capabilities, features or products using inputs from the prioritized roadmap, planning, available resources and skills to communicate expected availability and releases of capability.
  • Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, University, or equivalent degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business or relevant equivalent experience required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Significant level of relevant work experience in the Software Engineering Industry, including supervisory experience, where knowledge and experiences of the following is preferred:

  • Working in Agile and DevSecOps Environments;
  • Fundamental Software Engineering technical skill sets;
  • Professional Software Engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
  • Broad business knowledge required.
  • Prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery, and have excellent Software Engineering Skills.
  • Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions.
