Job description

Position: CAD Technician II (AutoCAD Civil 3D)
Location: Austin, TX - must be local and onsite 5 days per week
Duration: 12 month contract
Compensation: $30-36/HR
Work schedule: Monday-Friday (8 AM-5PM CST)
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401(k)
Seeking a CAD Technician II to support utility design projects by producing accurate construction drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Responsibilities
  • Create and update utility design drawings (plans, profiles, layouts, ROW plans)
  • Convert engineer markups into final deliverables
  • Import and manage survey, GIS, and civil CAD data
  • Build surfaces, alignments, and pipe networks in Civil 3D
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve design issues
  • Ensure drawings meet standards, QA/QC, and permitting requirements

Qualifications
Required
  • Associate's degree or CAD certification
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience (alignments, surfaces, profiles, pipe networks)
  • Ability to read civil drawings and survey data
  • Experience with utility design (gas, water, telecom, etc.)

Preferred
  • Utility or civil engineering experience
  • Knowledge of ROW standards, permitting, GIS, or SUE
