Overview

Job Purpose

The Senior Technical Consultant for ICE Mortgage Technology's Solutions Development practice interfaces with prospective and current clients in a consultative capacity, working to understand the client's key business objectives, IT initiatives, and technical requirements, and providing resulting guidance in accordance with industry and company best-practices.ย  The Senior Technical Consultant is a critical interface across multiple internal departments as they work to ensure that we exceed customer expectations for implementation deliverables and deployment timelines.ย  The candidate will possess a breadth of experience and knowledge which spans enterprise business applications, solutions systems design, and supporting platform technologies.ย  This individual must work equally effectively with both clients and internal business units to ensure that customer satisfaction goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Drive successful configuration, installation, and adoption of custom solutions developed for our clients
  • Serve as liaison between business users and internal development staff
  • Consult with clients to implement software and industry best practices
  • Function as a subject matter expert for the Encompass SDK and API
  • Quality assurance testing representative of business user
  • Light scripting and formula derivation to automate business processes
  • Translate field-level data points to third-party systems
  • Provide technical support to our clients for implementation issues
  • Document instructions for installation of custom solutions
  • Provide failure analysis and reproduction scenarios of customer issues
  • Quickly and accurately reproduce diverse issues for troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Provide sales support for the positioning and quoting of custom development services
  • Gather necessary requirements and specifications needed to create technical Statements of Work for Professional Services engagements
  • Design and architect custom solutions
  • Consult with clients and third-party vendors for clear definition of requirements
  • Use case definition for custom solutions

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years technical experience troubleshooting mission critical application solutions
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience working with XML, JSON
  • Knowledgeable in programming languages such as C# and JavaScript
  • Knowledge in overall application architectural components
  • Mortgage Industry and Encompass Experience (preferred)
  • Professional written and oral communication skills to relate to business and technical users.
  • Ability to translate technical instructions or concepts into non-technical easy to understand terms.
  • Team-oriented, demonstrates a professional, and cooperative attitude
