Work Model: Work Model: You'll work in a hybrid model, onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least 3 days per week (Monday-Thursday), with flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days, including Friday.

Scope of Leadership Role

It is an exciting time to join RRX as the Global Tax team is engaging in numerous actions to shift focus from tactical function to be a strategic business partner.

Related to these actions, RRX has an opportunity for an Indirect Tax Director to join the Global Tax department. The Indirect Tax Director is a key member of the Global Tax leadership team reporting to the VP, Tax and working closely with the Senior Tax Director, Domestic Tax Director and International Tax Director.

Within the past year, the Indirect tax function at RRX has implemented a number of process improvement actions that can be leveraged by the new Indirect Tax Director. The current responsibilities of the role include leading our internal indirect tax team in addition to managing a co-sourcing arrangement with Ryan LLC.

Major Responsibilities

  • Partnering and consulting with our business segments on customer-facing issues as well as identifying future process improvement opportunities to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Management of our new compliance co-sourcing preparation process with Ryan, LLC covering U.S. sales and use taxes and U.S. property taxes, in addition to Canadian GST filings.
  • Engaging in discussions with RRX's IT team on other automation opportunities.
  • Managing all U.S. and Canadian indirect tax controversy matters and proactively engaging on topics such as nexus determinations, taxability analyses and quantification of potential liabilities to minimize future tax risks for the company.
  • Determining additional process improvements that the team can undertake including the management of exemption certificates and other key functions.
  • Monitoring tax law/regulations/rulings, etc. for changes that might impact RRXs sales and use tax liability position and performing tax research as needed. Partnering closely with the Domestic Tax Director in these areas as applicable.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA, MST preferred
  • 5+ years' experience managing a team (direct and indirect)
  • 10+ years' experience in either public accounting or industry accounting, with a focus in indirect tax accounting
  • Strong tax technical and tax research skills.
  • Significant experience with indirect tax software (e.g. Avalara, Vertex) preferred as well as experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and consolidation systems (e.g. Oracle Hyperion, OneStream)

Expected Base Salary Range: $175,000-$200,000 + bonus and LTI

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's basepaycompensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience,educationand internal peer compensationcomparisons among other potential factors.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring companysponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
