Job description

Job DescriptionOverview

The Senior Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for executing systems engineering and integration activities to ensure that all project systems are effectively coordinated, tested, and delivered in alignment with project requirements.

Your role
  • Leading and executing Systems Integration activities such as developing and/or reviewing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and gap analyses.
  • Supporting Verification and Validation, Requirements Management and Configuration Management activities.
  • Coordinates day-to-day interdisciplinary integration and interfaces between disciplines. Tracking technical interfaces and ensuring engineering inputs are consistent, compatible, and ready for delivery across packages.
  • Work with Design Leads to ensure interdisciplinary coordination and identify design issues issues/EWNs at the earliest opportunity and record in the project issues log.
  • Monitors engineering inputs and coordination by tracking RFIs, assumptions, risks, deviations, ICDs and issues within ACC, ensuring overall deliverable status visibility and escalating items that require decision or resolution.
  • Prepares and maintains integration documentation, such as design briefs, assumption logs, design decision logs, RFI Logs and presentations.
  • Supports internal teams by helping prepare documentation using the appropriate formats and templates and provides occasional support on risk and hazard documentation when requested. Ensuring Safety Management tasks are completed.
About you
  • P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in systems engineering and integration on major rail/transit, infrastructure, or other complex systems projects.
  • Strong academic foundation in systems, electrical, mechanical engineering, or computer science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, manage data, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
