Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:

Under general supervision is responsible for data collection and analysis characterized by complex programming to compiled information for customized reports; Administration, maintenance, and monitoring different applications.

Essential Duties Summary:
  • Data collection and analysis characterized by complex programming to compiled information for customized reports from many different sources: Student/Finance/Financial Aid, etc.
  • Serves as liaison and coordinate communication between IT and Finance/AR system in order to ensure efficient financial accounting system. May troubleshoot highly sensitive or confidential issues.
  • Maintain/Admin/Monitor different applications’ performance to ensure the integrity of data (Banner, Touchnet, BankMobile, Argos, etc.) including Banner Security protocols.
  • Reviews, evaluates and handles operating processes: AR Feeds; BankMobile Feeds; Financial Hold, etc.
  • Monitors AR transactions plus other transactions that post into student’s account (like Housing transactions, Touchnet Payment portal, etc.).
  • Assists management’s director in developing strategic direction, goals, plans and policies for an area of responsibility by providing the data/info needed for management’s directors to make decision.
  • Works/Assists other areas in the University: Finance; Student; Financial Aid; Housing; Risk Management; OIT when needed (like assist in testing processes, in new implementation of applications, new functions, etc.).
  • Performance measures, research and analysis for special projects when needed.
  • Supports the preparation of the Annual Financial Report, including preparation of relevant supplemental schedules and variance analysis.
  • Researches rule, regulation if there’s new regulations coming out; Perform testing, implementing, and produce 1098T Tax forms to students.
  • Makes sure students’ billing monthly or others are performed.
  • Provides training and counseling to staff as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
