Job description

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who wants to join a stable and growth-focused manufacturing organization in Graniteville, SC. This is an onsite role working 4 ten-hour shifts (4x10s), with the majority of time spent on the production floor supporting machinery, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. What You’ll Be Doing as Senior Mechanical Engineer:

  • Serve as the mechanical subject matter expert for one or more areas of the plant

  • Spend approximately 80% of time on the production floor supporting operations

  • Lead continuous improvement and corrective action projects

  • Provide technical support to internal customers

  • Manage projects including new machine installations and equipment upgrades

  • Analyze project requirements and resolve design and engineering challenges

  • Oversee project execution to ensure safety, quality, budget, and timeline adherence

  • Monitor and evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements

  • Lead mechanical projects through design, fabrication, implementation, testing (FAT), commissioning, and daily operation

  • Work closely with vendors and manage external contractors

What You’ll Need to Have as Senior Mechanical Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)

  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks, Inventor)

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor software

  • Strong fundamental knowledge of hydraulic and conveying systems
