Position Overview

The Senior Superintendent is responsible for the overall field execution of large-scale electrical construction projects within the electrical construction markets. This position provides leadership to multiple superintendents, general foremen, foremen, and craft professionals while ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of projects.

The Senior Superintendent serves as the primary field leader and works closely with project management, engineering, subcontractors, and clients to drive project success while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Location

This will be a 100% travel based position on a turnaround schedule. Candidates will not be required to relocate, but will be expected to travel extensively. 

Responsibilities
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, company, and client safety requirements.
  • Lead safety planning, inspections, and incident prevention efforts.
  • Oversee all electrical construction operations from planning through turnover.
  • Manage field execution, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor activities.
  • Coordinate work sequencing and resolve field challenges to maintain productivity.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop superintendents, foremen, and field engineers.
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the project team.
  • Support workforce planning, training, and employee development.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for clients, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in progress meetings and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Ensure client expectations are met through effective communication and execution.
  • Monitor project schedules, labor productivity, and resource utilization.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and change management efforts.
  • Implement recovery plans when schedule or production goals are at risk.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of electrical construction experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Superintendent or senior field leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing large electrical construction projects valued at $50M+.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems.
  • Experience leading union and/or merit shop labor forces.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and construction management software.
