Job description

Are you a Senior Structural Engineer seeking a career advancing position? With mentorship at our firm, you will develop into a Principal leadership role.

In this role, you will work toward leading a diverse and engaged team to develop and maintain relationships with our clients, partners and employees. This unique role is best matched with the seller-doer who can rise quickly to action, is resilient, and adaptable. The successful candidate will be an experienced engineering professional that we can build an office around, one who is effective at balancing technical project management, business development, and people.

What we design: a wide variety of building structures utilizing concrete, steel, masonry, and wood construction. Structures include but are not limited to: commercial office buildings, multi-story residential developments, multi-story storage buildings, public sector buildings, and more.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Design of a wide variety of building structures utilizing concrete, steel, masonry, and wood construction.
  • Structures will be commercial office buildings, multi-story residential developments, multi-story storage buildings, public sector buildings, and other.
  • Oversee construction administration activities on projects
  • Monitor, manage and achieve all assigned project deadlines
  • Ensure that clients are completely satisfied with all aspects of engineering services
  • Providing office leadership for the firm.

Requirements:

  • B.S. Civil Engineering; M.S degree a plus, emphasis on structures
  • Licensed PE
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in design of multi-story buildings at structural consulting firm(s)
  • Experience managing projects and clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience in design using engineering software such as ETABS, RISA, SAFE, STAAD, RAM SS, ADAPT, EnerCalc.
