Sr Software Engineer - AI-Driven Payment Solutions

Join Dover Fueling Solutions, a global leader in fueling and point of sale technology, as a Senior Software Engineer within our Solutions Engineering - POS team. You will drive innovation and reliability in next-generation payment applications, working on both new feature development and sustaining engineering for high-impact products used worldwide. This is a unique opportunity for career-focused engineers who thrive in dynamic, collaborative, and forward-thinking environments.
[Responsibilities]
- Design, develop, and implement advanced features for payment and POS software solutions in Windows environments.
- Integrate innovative functionalities with third-party payment systems to expand product capabilities.
- Own the development lifecycle for assigned backlog items, ensuring timely and high-quality sprint deliverables.
- Engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement through sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Support and Help Desk, to triage and resolve field issues.
- Review technical designs and perform thorough code reviews to uphold stringent quality standards.
- Champion best practices in OOP, SOLID principles, and multi-threaded programming to drive technical excellence.
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Windows-based software engineering.
- Proficient in C#, .NET Core, and RESTful API development.
- Strong grasp of front-end technologies: Angular, HTML5, React.
- Solid experience in at least one virtualization technology: Docker, Kubernetes, or VMWare.
- Demonstrated expertise in OOPS, SOLID principles, and multi-threaded programming.
- Proven ability to deliver results independently with minimal supervision in both remote and onsite settings.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
