What You'll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of Foxen's AI-enabled platform. We are looking for engineers who want to work with significant autonomy in a small, entrepreneurial team. You'll have the opportunity to solve interesting problems and to provide streamlined and efficient financial service solutions to our customers. As a Senior team member, you'll also provide leadership and technical guidance in the design and implementation of solutions to gain competitive advantage in support of growing business needs and strategy.

We are looking for an individual with experience utilizing AI-powered coding assistants such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or CLI-based assistants. Any experience implementing AI solutions, Agentic workflows, or leveraging Generative AI for real-world business problems is a plus.

This role will also focus on building robust integrations with industry leading Property Management Systems and potentially other evolving software solutions. These integrations serve as the lifeblood for Foxen, and you'll have the opportunity to shape how we build these critical components.

In This Role You Will:
  • Design and build intelligent software solutions that leverage AI to enhance speed, reliability, and automation.
  • Experiment with LLMs, agentic workflows and AI-native features in identifying opportunities to embed intelligence directly into Foxen's products.
  • Collaborate with partner engineering teams to design white-labeled, co-branded solutions that integrate seamlessly into external SaaS environments.
  • Design, enhance, and construct new and existing features using performant, scalable, secure, documented, and maintainable code
  • Build and maintain 3rd party integrations utilizing APIs and/or data mapping
  • Quickly produce well-organized, optimized, and documented code
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with the business, technical teams, and leaders
  • Own technical solutions and work with limited direction
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as iteration planning, retrospective, and daily standups
  • Serve as an expert resource for others on the team and within the organization for programming needs
  • Mentor engineers on good development practices such as testing methodologies, secure coding practices and engineering for extensibility and supportability in a cloud enabled architecture

What Great Looks Like:
  • Strong experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) to improve speed and quality.
  • Proven success building AI-native or AI-augmented products from concept to launch.
  • Experience working with external partners on mutually beneficial solutions through tightly integrated seamless experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field/experience
  • 7+ years relevant programming experience
  • Strong knowledge of OOP and reusable coding practices
  • Experience with serverless environments, microservices, and RESTful APIs
  • Full-stack expertise in multiple tiers of modern web applications
  • Experience using practices such as unit testing, integration testing, proper code documentation, and appropriate logging to develop highly maintainable and reliable code
  • Understanding of scrum, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps
