Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer / Developer for a contract to hire opportunity with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH.
Compensation: $56.00 - $58.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Software Engineer/Developer for an AWS development team within a Digital Payments technology organization. The role involves developing new capabilities like modularization, configuration-driven enhancement, and normalization for a digital payment disbursement platform. This platform allows administrators to manage disbursements and enables payees to collect payments using their preferred methods (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, ACH, Zelle).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a FrontEnd Developer on all technology stacks within the Payment Disbursement portfolio, providing hands-on delivery of new capabilities for an AWS Development Team
  • Work as an individual contributor on project teams, collaborating with business analysts on requirements, writing technical design documents, and handling development, testing support, and implementation
  • Develop the primary execution engine on AWS Lambda to support highly available and high-volume payment processing
  • Develop scalable and event-based applications using Amazon SQS and SNS, and diagnose technical problems using AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail
  • Develop storage for containers using EC2 and data stores using DynamoDB and RDS PostgreSQL
  • Develop security capabilities using AWS GuardDuty, Amazon WAF, and AWS SecurityHub
  • Develop a seamless user experience using JavaScript, NodeJS, AWS CloudFront, and Amazon S3
  • Develop APIs using API Gateway, AppSync, and SecretsManager, and maintain performance with X-Ray
  • Develop a robust User Management system using AWS Cognito and KMS
  • Provide L3 production support and collaborate with other enterprise IT and business partners

Primary Requirements:
  • 3+ years of hands-on development using technologies that provide TypeScript driven user experiences, RESTful web services, file processing, and asynchronous event-based integrations
  • 3+ years of hands-on Full Stack Cloud Native application development with technologies like React and Angular
  • Experience with relational databases/SQL such as Amazon Aurora, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like Amazon DynamoDB

Desired Skills:
  • 2+ years of REST Service development and knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in the banking industry, especially in the payments business, is preferred
