Position Description:

As a Senior Product Solutions Consultant at Novara, you will drive growth and deliver value-driven solutions to prospective clients using Novaraโ€™s Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality and Sustainability (EHSQ+S) software solutions. This role combines deep EHSQ+S domain expertise, product knowledge, technical credibility, consultative selling, and strategic thinking. Serving as a senior individual contributor and player-coach within the Pre-Sales organization, you will lead by example on complex sales opportunities while coaching and developing Novaraโ€™s Sales Engineers. You will bridge the gap between the revenue organization, including Pre-Sales, Sales, and Customer Success, and the Product team. Working closely with Sales and Product leadership, you will develop strategies for engaging prospects, understanding client needs, improving win rates, strengthening team capabilities, and delivering value-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales Support
    • Work closely with the solutions engineering team by training and equipping the team with EHSQ+S expertise.
    • Arm the sales team with strong content and identify new ways to use Novara products to best deliver business solutions jointly with our clients.
    • Provide technical support throughout the sales process by proactively scoping solutions using Novara products, supplying technical answers that the sales team relies on, and ensuring the โ€œtechnical closeโ€ in the sales process to meet prospect needs.
    • Serve as the voice from the market by providing intelligence on what prospects plan to do with our products to improve their business.
    • Educate clients and prospects on how Novara can fit into their EHSQ+S and compliance ecosystem and provide value.
    • When necessary, lead the creation and execution of product demonstrations and proof of concepts for complex EHSQ+S prospective clients.
    • Collaborate with sales team members on presentations and configured demonstrations.
    • Assist in sales training to strengthen sales team knowledge of product capabilities and competitive sales strategies and tactics.
    • Own the RFP process from a solutioning standpoint. Work closely with account executives to complete RFP questionnaires and product RFP response packages that put Novara in the best position to win RFP business.
    • Build an understanding of competing products and companies, and what differentiates Novara.
  • Subject Matter Expertise
    • Build templated forms (no coding required) within the platform that solve core EHSQ+S use cases, and train team members on these processes and how to position the platform to address them.
    • Monitor industry trends to ensure Novara products are continually positioned for success.
    • Provide in-depth EHS expertise and insights, serving as a consultant and resource to colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • Product
    • Collaborate closely with the Product team, Solutions Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure prospect and market feedback related to product features and functionality is incorporated into the product roadmap.
    • Gather and centralize product feedback from Sales activities (Solutions Engineers and Account Executives), and help prioritize enhancement requests.
    • Act as the voice of the Sales team to Product Management.
  • Marketing
    • Attend select conferences and trade shows as part of the event team, preparing and delivering presentations, conducting product demonstrations, and engaging with clients and prospects to answer questions.
Knowledge, Experience, Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) industry.
  • 8+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or Pre-Sales Engineering within a SaaS environment (EHS experience preferred).
  • Deep understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safety principles and best practices.
  • Technical expertise with SaaS platforms and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop Solutions Engineers or other client-facing professionals.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and technical sales tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong sales mindset with the ability to align Novara's value proposition to prospect pain points.
  • Experience with document generation and business process automation is a plus.
Compensation:

Annual Base Salary Range of 195k-220k CAD

Annual Bonus Opportunity of 15%
