Job Summary
The University of Kentucky is seeking a Research Project Manager to work on grant funded research projects pertaining to people who have lived/living experience with substance use and legal system involvement, as well as their loved ones.
The Research Project Manager will provide essential leadership to ensure staff are implementing and conducting the studies according to the specific protocols, ensuring excellent communication about ongoing study activities, and assuring best practices are being optimized for data collection, analyses, and dissemination. The Research Project Manager will be responsible for all project management activities aimed to optimize operations for multiple studies. These responsibilities include but are not limited to providing oversight and supervision to staff; developing day-to-day operations and allocation of resources (i.e. staffing, budget, space); engaging with the Multiple Principal Investigators and Co-Investigators to ensure the protocols are meeting and compliant with all essential study-related requirements from NIH funding agencies (i.e., progress reports, budget revisions, human subjects issues); engaging in data analyses and data dissemination efforts through presentations and preparations of publications; engaging with the community advisory boards; and effectively communicating information to all essential stakeholders including the research team, UK administrative leadership, and community partners. Including individuals with lived experiences (i.e., in recovery from substance use and/or formerly involved with the adult or juvenile justice system) in study activities is a high priority
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Candidates must possess a strong project management skill set, excellent collaboration, communication (oral & written), and experience with MS Office. Experience with REDCap and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata) preferred.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? Yes Preferred Education/Experience
Experience in managing research projects with human subjects. Driver's license preferred.
