Individual Tax Manager / Senior 1040 Tax PreparerSeeking an experienced Individual Tax Manager / Senior 1040 Tax Preparer to join our Allen, TX team. This person is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and signing individual tax returns, including more complex 1040s involving Schedule C, Schedule E, K-1s, rental property, and foreign income reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CPA or tax professional who enjoys client interaction, wants meaningful responsibility, and is looking for a calmer, more balanced environment than a traditional public accounting grind. The ideal candidate has strong technical tax experience, loves working with people, and can operate independently while also helping coach and support other preparers.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review individual tax returns, primarily Forms 1040Handle returns involving Schedule C, Schedule E, rental property, and K-1 incomeWork with partnership and S-Corp K-1sAssist with foreign income recognition and related reporting, including FBAR/Form 114Interact directly with clients in a professional, service-oriented mannerReview work prepared by other tax preparersCoach, encourage, and support junior or less experienced preparersReturn completed tax filings to clients and sign returns as appropriateCollaborate with the owner and team to ensure clients are assigned to the right tax professionalMaintain high standards of accuracy, responsiveness, and client careContribute to a positive, team-oriented cultureWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsCPA or seasoned tax professional with strong individual tax experienceAt least 5 years of tax experienceAt least 5 completed tax seasons preparing personal 1040 returnsStrong experience with:Individual 1040 tax returnsSchedule CSchedule ERental property tax mattersPartnership and S-Corp K-1sForeign income recognitionFBAR/Form 114 reportingAbility to work independently and manage client interactionsStrong communication skillsHigh attention to detailA genuine love for serving people and building client relationshipsPreferred BackgroundExperience in a private CPA firm or regional/local public accounting firmBig 4 or larger firm experience with a desire for a more balanced, people-centered environmentPrior experience reviewing returns or coaching preparersInterest in growing into a larger leadership role over timeScheduleThis role offers a unique annual schedule with heavier hours during tax season and significantly lighter periods during the rest of the year.
