You will use telehealth technology to connect with clients, manage appointments, and document care plans. • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for senior clients to identify their specific emotional and psychological needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help seniors navigate life transitions, loss, and other age-related issues.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare team members, including physicians and social workers, to develop individualized care plans that address the comprehensive needs of each client.
• Provide support and education to the family members of clients, helping them understand the mental health challenges their loved ones face and how they can assist in the therapeutic process.
• Offer grief and loss counseling tailored to the needs of individuals and families dealing with end-of-life matters.
• Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs that encourage mental acuity, wellness, and a higher quality of life for elderly clients.

Your primary focus will be on senior clients, many of whom may be facing significant life changes, loss, and various mental health disorders. Our clinic recognizes the unique challenges this demographic encounters, including the effects of aging, chronic illness, and the transition into different life stages. By utilizing evidence-based practices, you will support clients in finding effective coping strategies and improving their overall mental wellness.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Possession of a current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in Florida is essential.
• A minimum of four years of recent experience in mental health counseling, particularly with geriatric populations.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with seniors from diverse backgrounds.

• Additional training or certifications in geriatric mental health and age-related conditions would be advantageous.
• Proven methodologies for applying evidence-based practices to improve mental health in older adults.
• Experience in leading telehealth sessions and familiarity with relevant digital communication tools.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, complemented by a generous sign-on bonus.
