Job description

Sagis Diagnostics is an entirely physician-led sub-specialty pathology group supported by a CAP-accredited histology lab located in the heart of Houston, Texas. Led by a team of board-certified pathologists, our lab is at the forefront of diagnostic science. We offer the highest quality services to physicians, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals.

One of our many strengths is we develop strong collaborative relationships with each of our referring physicians by offering accurate, prompt, and clear diagnoses in a personal and customized manner.

Sagis Diagnostics is looking to hire a Front Desk Receptionist to:

  • Day Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10 am to 7:00 pm. Main Lab Houston -77092
  • Greet visitors in a professional manner and provide general support to visitors
  • Answer and direct phone calls and faxes
  • Maintain an organized work area
  • Liaise with Senior Client Services Representative, Laboratory Management, and Physicians to coordinate requests from Sagis Clients, Sales Representatives, and other Management and Leadership.
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Maintain and set up conference room 
  • Order lunch for company meetings
  • Order supplies for breakroom
  • Handle multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously
  • Receive, send, and distribute mails and packages as needed
  • Package supplies for clients 
  • Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks 
  • Organize documents in numerical and alphabetical order
  • Work independently and solve problems, but also know limitations and ask questions when in doubt about something
  • High-school or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in medical office preferred
  • Pathology laboratory experience is a plus

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, and Outlook required- 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills 

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
