What is a senior real estate photo editor?

Senior Real Estate Photo Editors are experienced professionals who specialize in enhancing and retouching property photos for real estate listings. They use advanced photo editing software to correct colors, adjust lighting, remove imperfections, and sometimes stage images virtually to make properties more appealing to potential buyers. These editors often oversee a team, ensure quality control, and may collaborate closely with real estate agents and photographers to meet specific marketing needs. Their work plays a crucial role in helping properties stand out in a competitive market.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior real estate photo editor?

To thrive as a Senior Real Estate Photo Editor, you need advanced photo editing skills, a strong eye for detail, and experience with real estate photography standards, typically backed by a degree or significant experience in photography or visual arts. Mastery of editing tools like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and real estate-specific software is essential.
