Their extensive experience allows them to handle complex situations and train less experienced staff.

Job description

Fast-Track Into a Technician Career

Everyone starts somewhere. But not every shop builds a real path forward.

Ontario Auto Ranch Ford is hiring for a Pit Crew Technician — an entry-level position designed for individuals who want more than just a job changing oil. This role is built for someone who wants to prove themselves, stay busy, and earn the opportunity to move into a full automotive technician career.

If you’re looking for a place where effort actually leads somewhere, this is it.

What Makes This Different ?

Most entry-level positions keep you in the same lane. This one doesn’t.

At Ontario Auto Ranch Ford, the Pit Crew role is the first step into our Technician Mentorship Program. Once you demonstrate strong work ethic, consistency, and ambition, you may be selected to work directly with a senior technician for up to a year — accelerating your development into a professional technician.

This is a performance-based opportunity. The path forward is real, but it must be earned.

Starting Compensation

$30-$32 per flat rate hour
Opportunity for advancement based on performance and attitude

The Role

The Pit Crew Technician is responsible for handling high-volume, fast-moving work that keeps the shop running efficiently.

This includes:

  • Light maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, filters)
  • Recall work and basic service operations
  • Multi-point inspections
  • Supporting main shop technicians with workflow
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

This is a fast-paced position where staying on task and maintaining efficiency throughout the day is critical.

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Punctual and dependable — every day
  • Ability to stay focused in a high-production environment
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
  • Desire to build a long-term career as an automotive technician
  • Some basic automotive knowledge or schooling is helpful, but not required
The Opportunity Ahead

This role is designed for individuals who want to grow.

Technicians who demonstrate:

  • Consistent productivity
  • Coachability
  • Attention to detail
  • Professionalism

…may be selected for the Auto Ranch Technician Mentorship Program, where they will work alongside an experienced senior technician to develop real-world diagnostic and repair skills.

Why Ontario Auto Ranch Ford

Consistent workflow and strong shop demand
Clear path from entry-level to technician
Hands-on learning environment
Supportive team culture focused on growth
Paid training and development opportunities
Full benefits package including:

  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with employer participation
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Employee discounts
The Right Fit

This is for someone who is ready to show up, stay busy, and earn their way forward. Someone who doesn’t need to be chased, who takes pride in doing things right, and who wants to build a real career in the automotive industry.
