Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE:

  • Serve as the primary first responder for maintenance requests across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring timely and professional service.
  • Perform advanced preventative maintenance and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems, and general building trades.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, including motors, laundry machines, and commercial kitchen equipment, replacing worn or defective components as needed.
  • Lead and oversee maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry projects, providing updates and progress reports to leadership.
  • Design, build, and repair structural elements such as cabinetry, furniture, doors, walls, and trim throughout the property.
  • Respond to guest and staff service calls, completing repairs for items such as Wi-Fi, televisions, phones, locks, and safes while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

  • 6–10 years of specialized experience in facilities, engineering, or a related field, with advanced technical knowledge.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree or specialized training in a relevant field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and OSHA regulations, with the ability to perform complex tasks requiring sustained focus and problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, analyze complex issues, and manage time effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Physically capable of working in varied environments, lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Maintaining flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings, while collaborating effectively with teams and working independently.
