Sr. Interventional Radiological Technologist

Ideal Candidate

3 years experience with Neuro and Body IR, previous experience in a similar acute care setting, and experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Work Schedule

Can work 8โ€‘hour shifts Mโ€“F, variable shift including weekends, and take call. Parking is available at the hospital when taking call. This position supports both Body and Neuro IR and must be available to work Monday to Friday with call duties (+50% pay) on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Call duties are after hours.

Job Details

The Senior IR Technologist must demonstrate competency actively and participate in the lead/coordinator role. Active participation in an annual performance improvement project or in IR Quality Assurance/Radiation Safety meetings is required. The technologist must demonstrate competency and be able to instruct one or more of the advanced procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of IR experience
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment required (minimum 3 years)
  • Graduate of a formal radiology technologyโ€‘training program in an AMA approved school
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays
Required Licenses / Certifications
  • ARRT & CRT Licensure
  • BLS (CPR) Certification
  • VIR Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Preferred โ€“ recent work experience in an acute care setting
  • Preferred โ€“ VIR Certification obtained within 1 year of hire
